Cycle training areas

Cycle training area in a park in Cesky Krumlov in front of Egon Schiele’s garden house

This is just one example of many similar places that aim to teach novice cyclists the rules of the road.

In the town of Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic, next to Egon Schiele’s garden house, there is a publicly accessible traffic park where parents and their children as well as school classes can practise cycling with real traffic rules. In addition to road markings, there are also traffic signs, traffic lights, a railway track with a level crossing and a roundabout.

The dimensions of the signs and roads in this park are specially adapted to cyclists. This makes it possible to accommodate many different traffic signs in a relatively small space.
